Considering trading my '08 OTO, pozzi over cuoio, original msrp about 345k - 14k miles! ( If I decide to sell it myself, I'll put it on ferrariads.) What do you guys think? Offer on trade at the moment is about 172. If I were to consign it somewhere, of course, I'd need a higher number to make up the commission.

I have had two solid offers off Ferrari Ads, both within 10k of asking. Hopefully the third offer will be the one.

FWIW I think for that number it will sell within 30 days.

Not necessarily! :) I went from a 612 to Cali but still have the same screen name! Actually I have thought about changing it but wouldn't I lose all my history (join date etc.)?

If it is an OTO that car is worth the $172 easy, I like that combo!

Maybe people felt the reserve was going to be too high for serious bidding, but the Fantasy Junction 2005 6-speed rubino 612 bidding stopped at $75.1K.

The 6 speed at FJ is a really nice car but will sell more around $100K. I have seen it in person and the car is a real looker.

Love the exterior, but I find the interior too loud (at least in the pics... may look better in person). Tastes vary, but I think the interior is hurting the price... a lot.

Remember... to sell a car from a showroom you only need 1 person to want it. For it to sell at auction... at least 2 people need to want it.

    JMO... YMMV.

FWIW, this is the most beautiful 612 I've seen...

Miles, miles, miles. The interior may scare some prospects off, but the mileage ....

Is 26K high enough miles to make 612 go under $100k though? I suspect 6 speed eliminates potential buyers of a 612...

It appears that the answer is "yes;" there are a lot of guys who see mileage over 10K as a big negative. I don't get it, but that's how the Ferrari market in the US seems to work. There's another 612 on ebay--grigio titanio/gray interior with black daytona inserts, F-1 transmission and red calipers that just had a full service this month at 24K miles, including belts and clutch that has a BIN price of $97K. There may be some questions (e.g., why only 1 key?), but still....

the black 2008 612 that sold for $175,000 was not a oto it was a regular 612 , im in the buisness and just paid $219,000 for 2008 oto with 800 miles because it was loaded and it was rosso corsa with tan daytonas and hgtc package and there not that many out there loaded , i no i paid about $10,000 to much , but when you find that perfect car that you want, it's worth the extra money instead of saying i wish it had this or that and not being 100% happy is $10k or $20k going to kill you when you already spending $200k

It's interesting as i have a Sept 06 612 w/ HGTS pkg. and feel mine is worth the extra
10- 20k but no one else does :) Special paint and everything else ... whew as I would really miss the car and need a like / highly optioned replacement.

the reason no one wants to pay the extra money for a 2005 - 2007 is there are many of them out there and f1 shift in early cars is not like 612 oto and many other improvements to , plus when recession hit in 2007 many people did not run to spend $350k plus on a brand new 612 , so for that reason there are only a handfull of 612 oto , read your forza magazine # 87 august 2008 and they will tell you the big difference from a early 612 to a 612 oto.

I have driven both and see a slight difference but more so for 599's. If having the fastest shift in the west is important buy a 458 or 599. The 612 is a different beast. Also, me personally am not a fan of the OTO roof. I think it will have more electrical issues in years to come. An 05-07 612 gives you all the items need to enjoy the finest Ferrari built and really built to be driven daily.

I don't subscribe to Forza. Other than the speed of F1 shifting, what improvements are you talking about? I understand the OTO cars are customized. Are you talking about HGTC packages, wheels, brakes, navigation and rear cameras, etc?

I disagree about the transmission-- I own an OTO and have driven an earlier car. The F1A transmission in the OTO is far smoother when shifting at normal speeds, and that is what makes it much more user friendly. The speed of the shifts at high RPMs is great once in a while, but it's the 3000 RPM shifts around town where you really notice the difference.

its not the fastest shift im looking for , when driving a 612 its a more relaxing car than a 430 , 458 , 599 , so the new super fast trans gives you alot smoother shifting and makes it alot more enjoyable as a daily driver , ferrari engineers call it sofast3 in comfort setting , slower than superfast , but still quicker than before and you can set suspension on comfort and set trans on superfast or suspension on hard and trans on comfort with manetino , and thats the big difference.
