New owner (new to me- 2005) question. The VIN and MFR date plate on the driver door side is a delaminating sticker. My other Fcars are riveted metal plates, and I've noticed some 612's pictured on ebay are metal and others are stickers. Is there a reason? My sticker is barely legible.
I don't know the exact reason, but it is a sticker. Come to think of it, most newer cars of any make that I have seen use stickers-- maybe that is a federal requirement or something?
Erik- There should be a part number on the bottom of the sticker and you may be able to order a replacement. Probably have to provide all kinds of ownership proof.
