    Hallo everybody,

I have a noise problem with my 612. The whistling noise (hissing sound) is coming from the door at the drivers side. I can not exactly locate the point where it comes from, but not from the side window. It starts at 80 km/h and gets louder with increasing speed. I checked all the rubber seal and could not find any issue. It fits perfect and there is no damage. Any idea what to do and what could be the reason? Thanks for your help.

    Regards, Wolfgang

Windscreen wiper? I saw a video of Top Gear where Jeremy Clarkson had that issue with the Scaglietti he was driving when it hit higher speeds.

Never experienced it on my 612 though.

The window stop microswitches may be slightly out of alignment and the window is not fully seating. Should be easy for a technician to adjust if that is the problem. Recurring problem on earlier V12s, although I have not heard as much about it on 612s.

I've never experienced that on my 612. 456 used to do that, though.

The noise is not coming from the window. It is coming "out of the door" in the lower section. I have the impression, the rubber seal is the problem although I don't see any damages or bad fitting. Will have to make a few tests.

    Hi Wolfgang,

Bringing this post back from the dead instead of creating a new one. Recently acquired a 612 and about to bring it home from winter storage. I was only able to drive it a couple times but noticed the exact same issue you described.

We’re you ever able to resolve the issue? I’m planning on having the dealer check it, though any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    Best, Chris
