  1. Hi There, I have a 2006 612. Over the past two years whilst stationary at traffic lights and with the engine running, all electrical power has been lost on three occasions. Turning the key on and off, the power comes back and the car restarts as normal. It is a full loss of power as the Radio needs to be reset with the code. My ferrari service mechanics thinks it may be a faulty relay. Has this happened to any other 612 owners? It has happed twice now in the past 3 months, and I have just had the car serviced between these two events.

Sounds obvious, but I would remove, clean and tighten the battery terminals.

Another one to check is the earth strap on the bell housing. It gets a lot of road grime, so it’s the most vulnerable of the earth connections.

Your symptoms are pretty odd though, but these are cheap and easy to check.

If I were in your shoes, I'd probably have the battery and its connections checked. Sometimes a weak or iffy battery can cause those sudden power dropouts. Make sure the battery terminals are clean and snug.

Considering the age of your ride, it wouldn't hurt to look into the condition of the wiring and connections. Keep an eye out for any wear, corrosion, or loose connections. Running a scan on the electrical system, maybe with a diagnostic tool, can help figure out any issues.
