For the last one year, except for one software incident (which most of us may have) about the "Gas Cap" issue (took the dealer less than 10 minutes to update the software), the car has been as solid as my other non-F cars. If I am not mistaken, when I bought the car last year from an authorized dealer, there was a few months left on the original factory waranty, so I purchased an additional one year Powercube warranty. Mine is 06' 612, approaching 20K miles. Should I spend $4K to renew the yearly Powercube warranty? What is your experience and advice? Thanks.

I wouldn't (and don't plan to on my 612), but I'm also used to Ferrari repair bills. The only problem I've had (other than the gas cap being loose once, like you) was the fuel sender needing to be replaced, which was actually a campaign, I believe. If you haven't had it done, you might ask about it before your current warranty runs out.

oh the "PowerCube" is not a device, but a moniker for a warranty level:

"Limited Warranty Cars between 7 and 12 years old receive Powertrain Plus Service Contract that covers the engine, powertrain, major electrical and other components; cars less than 7 years old receive a more comprehensive Power Service Contract (contract can be upgraded to a 2-year version or to a higher version called Power Cube — certain restrictions apply — which covers the majority of the vehicle)"

I was thinking in terms of XBox or PlayStation, or some device on the firewall --wrong

Thanks. Will check on the fuel sender.

Hmm. 20k miles. I might be rather inclined to get it.
