64 GTO 4399gt at 64 lemans ?

    As far as I know, there were three 1964 GTOs: S/N 5319, 5571 and 5575.

    I believe 5575 was unique in that it was the only one without a slot at the rear of the roof.

    Correct that there were only three 1964 GTO's; however they are: S/N 5571 GT, 5573 GT, and 5575 GT.

    This car S/N 4399 has been re-bodied as a '64 GTO. It finished the race 6th overall, and came 3rd in class. It was driven by Innes Ireland and Maggs.

    This is my AMR model of 4399GT in the Le Mans livery. I assume the blue stripe was added for the race and it ran without it on prior sessions.

    4399GT had a oblong perspex bug deflector for the '64 24h of Le Mans. that deflector doesn't appear in the first picture, or at least i don't see one...
