Oh, that is another plan! Then I can build a bigger garage as well... Bump for a nice car and a nicer guy.
Thanks Curtis! Surprisingly, this car has garnered less attention on the Jag forums than here. Hmmmm.... What am I doing wrong? gp
The Jag forums (at least the ones I've gone to) seem more laid back than F-Chat. I'd hazard a guess it's just a different demographic.
Price adjusted to $118K. And the requested driving video is here: https://youtu.be/ZquhMhTHx3U Thanks. gp
Agreed. On all points. Thanks, gp (p.s. - you should buy it so that I can still come visit it, and maybe drive it, now and then.... I'd even offer you free storage in my garage! )
Nice to read all this. Let me take you back a little. Desperate to own a 'E', In 1966 . Saw a advert from secondhand Jag man in London. Time I got there it was dark, and raining. Bought it. 61 3.8 FHC. It was the colour that settled it. Met light blue/grey int.Drove it back home, with difficulty, carpets were awash with water, heater could note cope with condensation, and above all,the oil pressure guage hardly moved above 10. This car cost me £1000,or thereabouts. Next day, back at base,(I was a sole motor trader of little experience),Put the car up on the ramp. Removed the oil filter can and block. Cleaned out. Flushed the sump twice, and refilled with 20/50 Duckhams. Pressure now 40-50. Spot on.However, this five year old Jag was a rust bucket. Bought new outer front wings. Made welding repairs to the floorpan. Replaced all the floor coverings and carpets Tidied up the sills and over rear wheel arches. Used it for two weeks, enjoyed, and It looked good. Stuck it in the Sunday Times, and got a reply from a guy in S.London. Drove up,he saw it,and offered me his MGB in P/X. There was no way that I was going home without the 'B' which was lovely. Job done...Thank the Lord ! !
Please PM me if the sale falls through. I'm seriously looking for an E coupe and missed yours not realizing you had it on BAT.
