    FYI.....
I put my Dino Fiat Coupe on Ebay. What an excellent way to learn how to work on Ferraris. I have torn the engine, valve train, brakes, and carburetation of Fiat Dinos to get the knowledge. With this fundamental knowledge I have worked on Ferraris and Lamborghinis.

    It is at:

Not to offend anyone by advertising, but working on these cars does help. You will find this one needs very little, if any work. Get some practice setting up multiple carbs and adjusting valves. This one has the valve shims on top like the 246's and up. Buying a cheap one will cost you way more in the long run.

So your advise is NOT to buy your car - since it needs nothing and therefore we will learn nothing???

    The point:
It is better to work on a car which is already running in good condition so as to have a reference point, than it is to work on a car which is running poorly. You have no reference point as to judge if you can perform the work satisfactorily.

As you have probably learned, even the best of older Ferraris (pre-90's) still need upkeep to run in top shape. I have owned a 76 308gtb, 79 308gts, 83 308gts, Lamborghini Espada, and 72 365gtc4. All always needed some form of tuning, adjustment, and repair for the problems which occurred. The Fiat Dino's have helped me to learn all the ins and outs of DOHC, multi-Weber setups. Removing the camshafts, reinstalling the camshafts, adjusting the valve clearances, setting up the Marelli Distributor (like the v-12 and v-8 cars, in case you didn't know), synchronizing the carbs, adjusting the mixture, etc....

It is just nicer to have it looking good in you garage, than to have a rust bucket junker which smokes and runs poorly.

A lot cheaper than training on an actual v-12 car. I don't want to get into any debate. You can choose to ignore. I didn't post it to cause any mental strife or confusion.
