Yes, age old question, I know but I have heard conflicting numbers for this query, does anyone know for sure? I have googled it and came up with about 16-20 cars/day. Is this the CURRENT capacity? Also, what percentage of their production goes to the U.S.? Still about 30%? The Grand Rapids Press has contacted me and asked me this, so I want to be as accurate as possible. Thanks, Jerry.

I read recently that they made 4900 or so in 2004---a record with about 1100 coming to the US. Most of the increase went to "new" markets.

When I was at the Factory (aka... The Pearly Gates) in April, our guide told us the maximum number per year was 4900.

I was not given an exact number, but they said approximately 50% are head for the USA. I should have pressed the issue more, but I am curious as to the exact number that head to our shores.

I can't imagine that 50% of the cars come to the U.S., that is a long ways off from 25%.

Yeah, I thought 50% was high as well...

OK.... now I NEED to know the number! I'm not going to get much sleep until I know the answer.... LOL

    Anyone know with more certainty?

I went to the factory in May. They gave us a beautiful booklet that states
" a total of 4,900 were delivered to clients in 2004". There is also a pie chart
that shows approximately 1/3 of their production going to North America,
with Germany, Great Britain and Italy following repspectively.

Of those made, the vast majority are V-8s. Less than 800 are V-12s.

    Drive 12 cylinders or walk.
