6th Annual Scarsdale Concours taking place on October 4th, 2009. My friend and I started this show back in 2004 and rose over $100,000 before we both graduated high school. The event has become a great success. We get a solid turnout of both classic European sports cars, exotics and much more. I ask if anyone who owns an exotic car or has something different and are willing to show at this years concours please contact me. It is a great time for the owners and simply a beautiful location for a car show. It takes place in the village of Scarsdale any many shops and restaurants are open. Not to bring up a bad subject, but the weather is not looking good for Sunday. If it does in fact rain, is there plans for a rain date? When would you make the call?
It's only Thursday hard to predict what the weather will be like. We will keep everyone updated as it gets to be closer to the show.
As long as the weather holds, I'll be driving up the GSP around 9:30. Anyone want to drive up together?
Tomorrow will be a beautiful day and a day to enjoy fine cars. Charity Rides will be given at the event of the show by owners who have agreed to do so. They will go down the Bronx River Park Way and back. Schedule of events: 9:15AM Arrival for Cars 10:30 AM Event officially begins 11:00 PM Judging begins 1:30 PM Judging closes 3:00 PM Awards Ceremony 3:45 PM Charity Rides Begin 4:15 PM Charity Rides End
Very nice turnout today, some beautifull cars. Had a good laugh when I drove in and the gentleman at the check in desk asked me which Ferarri mine was, I told him the only one built in Japan, he did blush a little. Dennis, your father is an absolute class act, really enjoyed talking with him today. Suggestion for next years event, you might want to somehow let people know that the ropes are to keep people outside, not inside the barriers. Some people with belt buckles leaning over caused many owners some very nervous moments. The sun came out, the temperature warmed up and everyone enjoyed themselves. Good job.
Good to see everyone! Much as I like the F car, I have to say some of the 1920s-1940s American vintage was outstanding this year. Evan and Dennis: Terrific job as usual. P.S. Eduardo showed up with the fly yellow 365 GT4/BB. Now that's some sweet Boxer.
