488 7 year maintenance - belts and air filter MIA

    As some of you may have seen on another post of mine, I am getting a 2017 488 Spider delivered to me this week from Scottsdale Ferrari. One owner, all service done at that dealership, just coming off 7 years of maintenance. 7,800 miles. I had them email me full service records.

    Outside of some small items to be looked at, each year they changed oil and filter and cabin pollen filter. I think I saw 3 occasions where brake fluid was changed out. What I didn’t see: never changed the air filter or do one auxiliary belt change.

    Both my 458 and FF service schedules show belt changes every 3 years, and air filter every other year. I don’t have my 488 manual yet to see if it is the same.

    I questioned the sales rep about this and he said that the 7 years covers what is scheduled on the cars required maintenance.

    Am I missing something here? I will check the air filter when it arrives. Get the belts changed at its next annual set for July 2024?

    I would think the coolant needs to be changed as well.

    If I am correct, there is no coolant change in the maintenance schedule. However, I personally would do it every 5 years.

    458 is every 37,500 miles or 2 years.

    Why not just do every 2 years?

    For me, it's at least every 3 years in my climate which is humid.
