Hmmm...I dont know - a S2 that needs work might be 25K. For me, if it gets 40K, I think I could get 60K for mine...and I'll sell for that!
Prices for the XKE are high right now (insanely high, it seems to me). I was assuming that the 36,xxx miles were actual and could be proven or at least are evident in the condition of the car.
I would say the 36,xxx is probably right. I know I have 38,xxx on mine - all original. The car sat for a long time, and is virtually a baby in that regard.
I noticed the same. E-Types, Dino 246s and early 911s seem to be in demand at the moment. I don't know if it's market insanity or a realization that these cars were the end of the classic era for sports cars (before 1974 bumper and smog regs changed everything).
Not many of the early 911s around these days (if they were made before Porsche started galvanizing the body shells)...
