Image Unavailable, Please Login Just got a set, I thought they would all have an adhesive backing - but it looks like holes need to be drilled.
i would imagine you can shave the backs and add 3m tape - i wouldnt go drilling holes in your car dude
Initial Q of Michael: Does anyone know if the 488s being delivered this year will have the 70th anniversary Badges on like these? I think nobody outside the factory will ever be able to obtain one. They were produced for / given to the very few Hig Value Buyers who were at the invitation party only imo ...
Indeed, drilling will always give oxydation/rust because the paint layers are away/broken Never drill ... Can you tell us your secret please ?
Sir, I am calling BS on that. 1) There are differences between this and the real badge. On the real badge the hyphen between 1947 and 2017 is attached to the base by a dark grey stalk, not white as yours. The bottom left corner of the 4 in 1947 is straight cut rather than curved as in yours. Also, the real one is stick on. No fingers as in yours. We have seen fuly assembled production line photos of cars before the badge is stuck on - there are no holes in the body. Have a look at post 182 in https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/70th-ferrari-liveries.556560/page-8. 2) Ferrari does not sell parts directly May be the odd 250GTO engine from the Classiche department but not a plastic 70th anniversary badge. Other than that, it's a pretty good knock off. So, pretty please, where did you really buy this? PS I won't read too much into the fact that in your 7 posts here in 3 years, most are about key rings
Pitty to say but I think friend Barry K is wrong .... looking well at post 182 does not give any clue imo. A nice genuine set imo; the zero is just not correct placed on the photo imo. (Should be turned 180 degrees) Amazing to possess, I am sure we all envy you
I wish I was wrong. So, lets get this straight. Ferrari makes 350 70th anniversary cars and 200 LaFerrari apertas with these badges, and gives their car & owners a sense of exclusivity. Now, why would Ferrari then sell those same badges, directly, according to the OP, to any old punter? Does Louis Vuitton sell stick on badges with their logo in their shops?
Friend Toymachine did not say it was sold to him but it was given (as present I presume) to him when he configured his new car ...
He must be a very special customer. I am surprised they didn't throw the rest of the car in for free as well Seriously though, Mel, yes, you could be right, but I keep noticing the small detail differences in the photos.
The originals that I have seen at the factory are definitely stick on not push on I don't mind an aftermarket set if someone can share the source please?????? Regards Michael
I am afraid the doubters are correct. The logo on my 70th anniversary F12 is all stick on. I tried to buy a set for garage decoration, but was refused.
Hi I have a set of vector files for the logo that I used to get some vinyl decals printed for my garage. If you want the file to get some printed drop me a pm Regards Michael
Link? Certainly you can Google if you want to learn more. But, I really meant it when I said Go to the Fake Market in Shanghai. There are many "fake markets" all over Shanghai (and China), but to my knowledge, the largest, by far, is known simply as The Fake Market . It consists of countless "shops" that don't advertise or list pirated and infringed goods (which is all they sell) on the internet. The size of the place and the amount of random rip-off knock-offs is unimaginable. Located in the basement of the massive Science and Technology Museum, sharing space with the Shanghai Metro Station. Big enough to get lost in - and lose your ass in, buying things that pass or almost pass for real.
Amazing info friend Napoli, for me as Dutchmen it must be heaven for me there. Pitty that it's too far But I (we) still wonder about these "70" F badges ...
In the span of your life, Shanghai is but a short flight away. You might not find what you are looking for in Shanghai (or China), but you will discover many things you weren't looking for.
