I had a couple of Shadows over the years, be sure to check the brake and suspension system as it gives the more trouble if it is not in perfect condition and it is also the most expensive thing to fix.

My dad had a 70, I think, SS RHD. He got it when I was a little guy (late 80's). Cool looking car, leaked exaust inside the car! I remember he had a real tough time selling it, but it was NOT a 10/10 condition car and again it was a RHD. He said when he first got it he put a lot of money into it, but can't remember how much or what for (this was over 20 years ago). Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Manheim Steam Roller - they put out a really kinky Christmas album every year. Far superior to the corny Christy Lane effort.
    ________

Among the general inspection things -

I would have the brake system carefully checked for corrosion, or wrong brake fluid put in sometime in the past. Mistakenly adding regular brake fluid will screw it up something awful. When I had a private lab, we sometimes ran IR Spectrometer scans on used Rolls Royce brake fluid samples to check for this.

I just bought a 1995 Silver Dawn, and I too am hunting around for a good owners site.

Not terribly active, but a start. If you want to get linked up with some ex-RR mechanics, the RROC Forum is the way to go but you must join the club first.
