Saw that the other day, and saw that y’all did the restoration. Would love to have the ability to do this car justice. Did a rally with Brian Redmond’s few years ago. He said F5000 was his favorite cars to drive ever. Beautiful example Craig.
Thankfully I just saw this ad now and the sale completed or else I’d be REALLY tempted to buy it . I’m a March AND a F5000 fanboi. Poor man’s F1 car that’s reliable and cheap to maintain. IMO this sold way too cheap at 100k .
The photos in that advertisement are now part of my reference files. I've never seen a mechanical fuel pump driven off the distributer drive. Those were super fast cars. They look and sound great. Everytime a see a modern F1 race I miss the big tires and wings of this era.
In around 1976, I was at Sandown Motor Raceway Melbourne when Cannon won an international F5000 event in a March 73A Chev .
