I've just purchased a '75 Dino GT4. After reviewing the service manual it doesn't look like the car has a detachable sub frame to remove the engine/transmission and drive train assembly. I'm assuming that the engine has to come out of the top of the car in order to perform a major service. Can anyone point me to web site or a thread that has a good checklist or procedures for removing the engine/trans from a '75 Dino. Thanks........Chris

You do not have to remove the engine for the majior. Search this thread for engine removal

No 308 have the engine subframe setup. They all come out from the top.I think Mondial have them but it might just be the T version,am not sure though,348,355,360,430 have the subframe set up only. There are goodthrads about GT4 engine removal as well as a thread about how not to remove the engine(be extra careful about the rear window, its NLA and hard to find as well)
Edit: Thanks Birdman for clearing it up :D

All Mondials have the engine subframe assembly. But not the GT4. Out the top!

You can do just about anything with the engine in place in a GT4. You'll get used to bending your arms at painful angles to get the front bank cam cover nuts off! ;) Actually, it's not that bad at all.

Actually, the best advice I can give is:

WATCH OUT FOR THE METAL RAIN SHIELD on the underside of the hatch. I've hit my head on that plenty of times in the last few months.
