s/w Andy who called the car a "virgin" i.e. all original, unmolested, etc with two owners. Car has 35000miles, some rust issues, a stiff clutch, worn paint, original tires, original exhaust, broken window & signal switch, but otherwise is solid, starts up with no smoke whatsoever. Realistically he said, you would need to add another $10-12K in order to get it into what he called "immaculate" condition. It's a Series 1 with dino badging and black leather interior with red piping (which doesn't sound original to me).

I've always wanted one of these, albeit with the Ferrari badges, but am unsure if this is worth a look since I would have to add $10-12K to the final purchase price. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Perhaps the name of a good PPI guy too.

    Thanks,
    bob

Depends on what your idea of immaculate means. $10-12K Will not cut it in most peoples books around here. I sold a silver one for more money than the $20K Andy is asking. The customer has spent alot more than the 10-12k making it look "immacualte" and it's still not done apparently.

But from what you have stated it still is worth $20K to me.

    Just my .02.

The signal stock is No Longer Available and even if it was it's about $1000. I would get Rock (Rock's Auto) to cheak it out for you since he has a GT4 and he worked on mine, which is also a Series 1 but someone changed the badges. A custom exhaust for the GT4 ran me about $1000 also. If it is all original it will need suspension bushings, brake lines, coolant lines, fuel lines and a valve and carb adjustment just to get it safe. Although you get in the door with a GT4 for cheaper the cost of service is still like the 308. The rule of thumb is that everything costs $1000....Like the clutch. :) If you'd like to see pics of what mine looked like before and after just ask and I'll post them.

What;s the serial number? I'd like to know how close it is to mine.
