More power, slight face lift, upgraded electronic interface, some design options. 720 replacement will be hybrid, if you had an doubt.
Are you talking about the stopgap car? The 750? its a 720 with a facelift. more hp not as hardcore as 765. Its a very popular car at my dealership. Waiting list there. 2 year run. Very limited in the first year. A few more in the second year. Eventually to be replaced with the final 720 replacement which will be hybrid like the artura. We know nothing about that particular car.
Yep- was hoping to more precisely understand what this swan song entailed. As you say, facelift, bit of power, plus updated interior/CarPlay. I put down a deposit. Want the last one off the line- don’t intend to buy a hybrid anytime soon, perhaps ever.
Limited run only 2 years. Unveiling in a month or so. Similar power to 765 but without all the aero. Less track focused. Updated exterior- "refresh" Updated interior - think Artura Car play etc Will be a stopgap till the hybrid replacement comes out. I want one also!

"At McLaren, we never stand still. We believe in going beyond. It’s in our DNA. The new McLaren 750S and 750S Spider – launching 25 April at 11:58 PM BST. Benchmark.Beaten."
What's the 'benchmark' for Super Series? 765LT right? .... But the 750S is going to slot below it, correct? .

This is a mild refresh that is sold out. Its a short run 18-24 months stop gap till the hybrid replacement is ready. Think F8. While Ferrari did much more aggressive styling change of an F8 from 488, Mclaren did the opposite of keeping the looks very similar to a 720. Not sure which is correct. This car is a nice upgrade from a 720 but not as aggressive or powerful as a 765. Looks like they were trying to thread the needle of increasing power and not upstaging the 765 which I think they did. This was never going to be a total redesign- it was going to be a mild refresh which it is. New total redesign will be when hybrid replacement comes out in a few years.
I dont do Mclaren marketing so this whole new benchmark crap is overblown. Its a performance upgrade from the 720. If you consider 720 the benchmark for performance, its is a new benchmark but then again its slower than a 765. lol. Mclaren does have the worst marketing department by far.
0-60, for a rear wheel drive, non EV, vehicle seems to defy physics. For the record- I don’t care about drag racing /0-60, it’s just astonishing from a technical perspective.
All of these cars are absolutely bonkers. Even the F8 has a similar 0-60, which weighs considerably more, doesn’t have active aero, etc. I remember thinking 0-60 times couldn’t possibly get any better when road cars finally broke sub 4 seconds. I like the 750s, I don’t know why there seems to be some die hard haters on the Maclife thread against it. I wish there were a few small departments that were allowed to just continue engineering with unlimited funds and without any regulations to see how far humans can push the limit, even if those cars would never see consumers hands. I’m honestly curious to see what we would have been able to achieve one day.
