77 308 GTB free-style build

I picked up this 77 GTB in January that an F-chat member owned in the past. He (Dave) doesn't respond to messages and his last activity here was Sept 2023. Chassis 22331, the thread from 2012 is easily found searching that number.

Rosso Chiaro on Tan originally unless told otherwise, US spec.

Here it is when it arrived at my place after the subsequent owner had it cleaned up and painted.

Most of the interior had been redone but not installed, seats, carpet, door panels etc but Im not using any of it and I'll be unloading those parts on ebay I imagine. The insulation left something to be desired. It wont have carpet in it when Im finished and the car is going on a diet among other big changes.

The car wont remain red either I don't think. Lots of ideas, it'll be a fun build.

Its not black, its cinnamon I believe and its new in the box.

 

I need the fiberglass door panels so the leather will get peeled off and filed in the round filing cabinet.

Yes they're the seats out of the car. I dont need them and Im done hoarding parts.

 

It might be a blue, thats my first choice. Whatever color helps I'll do it

 

Something different, keeping the transverse layout for weight distribution and it'll remain an 8 but Im working on something already that I think is unique? We'll see. I'll let the cat out of the bag once I've overcome a couple of hurdles im in the middle of right now.

 

Definitely influenced by that look and function but not making a clone of one or a 288.
