77 308 GTB Update

Unwrapped the already restored suspension parts that came in the numerous baskets with the painted body. Must've been wrapped too soon after paint? I blasted them and now being powder coated in the correct finishes. Never mind the carpet in my loft....

Amazing workmanship, I'd love to see this car in person at this stage of the build. Thats when you can really see all the attention to detail. Great work.

 

Resurrecting this thread. I had the opportunity to see the original order, build, correspondence and shipment records on this car in the Classiche department at Ferrari in Italy last week.

As you know, this car being the first Ferrari I ever saw over 40 years ago, seeing it being restored here and reading the "birth certificate" info in Italy makes it very special to me.

How did everything go in the end? Do you have any pictures of the finished project to share?

 

Newman finished it. Put a mechanics lien on it got possession and sold it. The guy was either a fraud or a nut or both.
