77 308--Update on my blinker malfunction...

    It's always the obvious, simple explanation.

    You may recall my posts concerning my reverse lights blinking with the opposite turn signal. Left blinker also activates right reverse light and vice versa.

    Well, no F-Chatters got it right!! The problem was...............:

    Somebody, probably bonehead painters, had mismatched the wires in the plastic connectors coming off both L and R bulb brackets! Black, red and blue were all mismatched on the other side of the connector! I simply rearranged the male spades in the proper receptacle/hole in the bracket-side connector, matching colors, and all was fixed!!

    Lesson here is--ALWAYS look for the obvious answer before diving in to a complex troubleshoot....!

    By the way, I put fresh bulbs in all the rear lights--they burn much brighter--looks new!

    Sheesh, had we known the car was recently repainted, we could have told you of the cure immediately!!

    Give us a little slack, Man! :)

    Greg -- The first suggestion was to make sure the bulbs and wires were in their proper positions -- you assured us that they were! ;)

    They were......under the carpet! LOL!

    Someone had actually disarranged them WITHIN the modular jacks.....kind of strange......

    One of mine didn't even have them in the right holes....amber inboard in other words.....

    He's gonna teach US all to play the piano, next, in return!!!!
