I have a couple old switches that intermittently fail. These are on the 77 GTB and of course NLA. Are there anything else that can be done? later switches, or disassemble and clean up?

I used the cheaper ones on my GT4. The only change I had to make was with the wiring from the car. For each group of wires from the car there was only one earth wire, and the switch required 2 earth wires to connect to it. So I just put in a "Y" piece.
I just googled something like "Window switch wiring" and found a picture of how they should be wired in.

I too had intermittent window switches and found they were easy to disassemble and clean. For driver window switch I think someone used a bit too much leather conditioner on the arm rest. Cleaned up with emery paper and contact cleaner. Now reliably working.

    What duners said!

I took all 3 apart on my '77. They work like a charm now!

Unless broken, strip and clean contacts is the way to go. They're simple mechanical devices thankfully.

And the contact material of the "new" ones is junk. Been there. Half a year after installation the contacts were burned and the driver side driver window switch failed again. I then disassembled and cleaned the old ones.
Luckily the "new" ones were much cheaper back then. 193.00 GBP plus VAT plus shipping costs for probably chinesed or indian garbage is a rip-off.
