    Do i need this capacitor off positive of fuel pump its 2.2microfarid,110volt. it broke while changing fuel pump. i cut it off and tape off lead. everything is running fine.Is it a noise surpressor for radio.

    Yes

    Wiring diagram lists it as a radio suppressor capacitor. There is also one on the distributor.

    Just re-wire your radio to a "direct battery" connection. Better performance anyway and you won't have to worry about any suppression issues or trying to replace odd-ball capacitors ---- which do not suppress as well as the isolation provided by a direct battery connection anyway.

    Radio in a carbed GTS? Rarely used option.
