So, I'm Kenny and live in Columbus, Ohio. I am the third generation in my family to have this 308 parked in the garage. My grandfather lived for this car. It was his pride and joy and probably loved it more than anything on the face of this earth, his family included. He was all about keeping it maintained and show ready it seemed growing up. I don't recall him ever letting us sit in it. My grandfather gave my father the car about 10 years ago and since then it was rarely driven. The oil was changed yearly and a new clutch was installed. These are the only things my father recalls doing to the car since he's owned it. Now that my father has parked this machine in my garage I have been obsessed with it, trying to learn the ins and outs on what it is going to take to keep it in tip top shape. I have my first maintenance scheduled for next week, just oil right now. I'm hoping to get an idea of what else I will need to do to the car in the future. Hopefully, it's not to crazy! Anyways, I love driving it and am looking forward to building my left leg muscles in the future! Here is a photo from last summer when I got it out of my fathers garage.

Great story, and beautiful car. Congrats! I don't have a 308, but there is plenty of content here about it.

Judging by the pic can you even reach the clutch with your left leg? ;)

Cool story. Get involved in the 308 section below here. Amazing knowledge lives in that group and they are always willing to help out a fellow owner!!

Congrats on the car, enjoy it in good health and share the hell out of it!!

Thanks! I’m definitely not gonna be as strict as my grandfather. I want my daughter to grow and appreciate it just as I did/do. She was 2 when that was taken last year and since then the car has been “her little red car”. I’ve been reading up in the 308 forum. I’m not wanting to ask questions that have already been answered ;)

These are great cars and sounds like you're already in a good spot with this one. The mechanic will find some items for you to prioritize but you're going to want to get the cam belts changed soon if it's been a legit 10 yrs (plenty on here re cam belts).

After that the real work begins-you actually have to drive it. Have fun-these engines are solid (remember the belts though)

I’ve been reading about the belts! I know it’s a priority and I’m hoping it’s not gonna be to pricey.
