My 78 308GTS didnt have the Pininfarina emblem on the drivers side when i bought it, and i am assuming the PO filled in the guide holes when he resprayed. I bought a replacement emblem from All Ferrari Parts and need the X and Y dimensions to locate it, can someone help? Thanks in advance.

I measured down from the beltline seam instead of up from the bottom like the X in your pic. X= 1.875". Y= 7.5" to the top corner of the badge from the wheel well lip.

My 76 does not have the emblem on the left side...only the right side. I purchased the emblem. Then asked my local F dealer about location only to be told that the 76 model had the emblem ONLY on the right side from factory.

Can anyone confirm one way or the other if the car was delivered with one or two emblems???

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Hi there,

that´s right. The first - resina - types did have only one PF emblem.

Have a look to the spare parts cat or on eraly press photos.

I don´t remind, which side it was (thought ist was the right side) but sure only one!

    Regards

My 1981 GTSi North American did/does not have the badge on either side.

There are no holes on either side of the car that have been filled and it has not been repainted to the best I determine.

    Typical Ferrari attention to detail.

    Don't ya love it!?!?!?! :)

I was wondering about this also. I have a brochure from the '84 quattrovalvole. In the pictures, they only show the PF emblem on the lower left, with nothing on the right.

My '79 has one on both sides. My original thought was the PO (original owner) added the second one on the right for "symmetry." Now, I'm not too sure.

I am getting ready for a repaint late this summer, so I want to figure it out before then. If it's not supposed to be there, I will have the paint guy remove the badge and fill the holes.

    What's the consensus?

just took a look at the Showroom section. It seems that there are A LOT of different combinations! Although the QVs appear fairly consistent with one badge on the left side, and nothing on the right. The earlier GTS/B and GTS/Bi are all over the place though. (none, 1 or 2 badges...)

I guess I need to do some more research...
