2 quick question guys I need to move the (L)oad wire on the relay panel flasher socket to the (G)round position for the solid state adjustable flasher I'm installing for the new LED lights. Does anyone know how to remove a wire with connector intact from a relay panel socket? I also need to run a ground wire from the L(oad) socket as there isn't a ground wire now (only two wires B & L are used). Is there an obvious common ground near the relay panel? Thanks Barry
The connector is held in place by a small raised tab. Get a small jeweler’s screwdriver and insert it between the connector and the plastic. Once the tab is depressed, the connector should slide out of the back. For a ground, use a screw near the panel that attaches to a metal part of the dashboard frame. Got it all back together. Now have changed all instruments, interior, head lights, tail lights, turn indicators, back up, and the side lights to Led. The difference is brightness is astounding. I can actually read the instruments at night and see ahead on a dark road and behind me with the backup lights. It's a 78 GTS and had all the original bulbs. Something else that I'm happy about is the current drain. For example the turn indicators with incandescent bulbs would actually cause the fuel pump to slow down when they blinked and the gen light would glow at idle when running with the lights on. The battery never went dead but it was a little worrisome. The total cost of doing the switch over was probably around $150.00. Well worth the money as I drive a lot a night on dark roads and It now lights up the road like a modern car. The only modifications I had to make was to move a wire on the relay panel for the solid state flasher. Barry
