'78 R&T performance stats 512BB, 308GTS, Countach

    I recently recieved a whole year series from '78 R&T where they tested these cars,the 512BB was federalized with 4 cats and heavy dot impact bumpers, the Countach did not, the 308GTS US spec

    It was a 78 Countach S, yes the Boxer was clearly superior even bogged down with smog pumps, cats and heavy DOT picnic table bumpers.

    I have a copy of the Countach road test (from the Dec. 1978 issue of Road & Track) and it states that the car was a U.S.-converted model with dual cats and dual air injection pumps. It must be the same article since the perfomance statistics are the exact same as you have cited. However, the Boxer is still much quicker even with both versions being U.S.-converted.
