Would it be possible to turn your project into its own site within this site? with all the pictures and posts and whatever comment you would feel like adding.
It would certainly be a fantastic source for other 308 owners.
My email addy is [email protected]
if you have a "group email" to people interrested in the pics, may be you can add mine as well.

    Thanks very much,
    Helmut

I just moved my 308GTS into my garage and am about ready to tinker.
You can imagine how that makes you my new best friend :)

:( I can't view the images, do I have to be a paying member on this site?
    Is it a Mac issue?

    Helmut,
I'm a Mac guy, and I can view all images just fine (except the ones lost due to the site crash!)

Macs rock! We can do things PCs only dream of... (oh no--Now I've started something!!)

As far as I know, there's no fee involved to be a member on this site. I'm a member, and it's free. Maybe there's a fee to be a subscribed member, whatever that is..

I managed to view the pics by deselecting "show images and attachments" in the option control panel... interesting :)

My 308 is dripping with jelousy, he has actually mentioned to move to canada I believe :)
Did you sandblast the frame? and powdercoat it? or is it painted. How do you make sure the rust won't come back, I have heard that can be an issue.

How many miles are you going to say that this car has on it once it's done? :)

I'm very close to taking mine apart, oh NO...lol

Paul, where do you buy all those rubber bushings that are in the steering mechanisms, as well as in all the arms etc. in the rear. Please excuse my lack of knowledge of the correct terms of each part. I finally got my 78 308 on jacks today and am ready to clean this puppy. I can take pics to show exactly what I am talking about if necessary.

Also any more pics of your project will be treasured and studied in depths :)
    My 308 is deeply grateful!

    Thanks,
    Helmut

I would also be interested in knowing who your parts suppliers are in Toronto? Especially for your engine parts. You can PM me with the names and phone numbers.

Well, Ive finally gotten back on the project. Since some of the last posts Ive been divorced which took the wind out of my sails, delayed things a little and Ive moved twice bringing all the parts and the car with me from house to house but Ive finally settled into a new place with some space to work. Picking up the 82 BBi sort of lit the fire under my butt as well and gives me inspiration. Meanwhile, Ive been collecting interior parts such as a dash, console and seat skins. The suspension components are ready to re-install, I have a set of QV rims I bought from Trutlands and had refinished so they are ready too. I just recieved my pile of replated nuts, bolts, washers, brackets and cables. So, I can post some pics if anyone is interested and I can repost some of the missing pics that got lost when the system went down maybe a year ago.
