Can you find original black anodized roof rails, windshield trim, etc. or will you respray a paint coating onto them?

I have seen both or combination thereof, done.....

Originally I considered new mouldings but they were prohibitively expensive plus it didnt make sense once I found an alternative. My car has the black anodized mouldings, the early cars have flat painted mouldings rather than the rounded ones like mine. Im having mine polished then re-anodized black which will duplicate the original technique and finish without the cost. The speedo face plate is also getting anodized but in silver so it'll look new again as well and finish off the interior for the fresh look. Bumpers and a grill are still needed but I havent looked into them much, especially the grill.

Man, I saw a like new North American grill for $65 but was too slow on it.......I'm sure they are pricey as well.

Going back North American or Euro on that?

Euro on bumpers and grill. Its a US spec car but I prefer the subtle Euro ques over correct look for my particular chassis.

A few more pics, I just received a box of parts so I can carry on. I have other parts still to come, the black trim is out being re-anodized, wheel bolts being rechromed, carb bodies being cleaned and plated and the fasteners for the carbs being done as well. Carb kits waiting, refinished rims waiting and it'll be on its wheels soon. I have some new amber tail lamps coming next week to complete the set of four and then the hunt for euro bumpers and a quality carpet set will be next on my list.

Try re-originals for your carpet. Matt has some nice stuff there and the carpet is a good price.

out with the old tail lights.....in with the new along with the emblems! Front and rear brakes on less pads (I was too tired) and a few hard lines needing to be installed. Axles in, taking the front spare tire tub into work tomorrow to make some minor repairs from the PO not having good aim while installing tha battery. The tabs for the battery cover are sad looking but ill fix it up before I bond and rivet it back in.

Nice work as always! I put my front right suspension on this weekend and was going to post a couple of pics, but glad I didn't....yours is prettier!!! I think I am running a fairly close second but I didn't sandblast my rotors, so the only part that is shiny is where I had them turned. Though my new QA1's and Verell's bushing and paper weight looks pretty nice (by the way the fitting of Verell's stuff is spot on!).

Not to nit pick, but I noticed your front sway bar isn't in yet...doesn't the end link for it share the same bolt as the bottom shock mount? Maybe I put mine in wrong????

Are you going to mess with the camber shims now? With new hardware, bushings, etc..it seems like you almost have to bolt everything down and run around the block a couple times to let everything "set" before you would get an accurate assessment. What do you think?

As I took the car apart I measured every shim and there location so I wont be driving around dog-tracking and scrubbing the tires. Im assuming it wont be a mile out but certianly wont be in spec. Ill let the car sit on its suspension for a day or two then tighten the bushing bolts on the arms, debug it, align it then debug again to make sure everything is peachy.
