Congrats are in order for Blackwood the winner of the "Photoshop" theme contest. He chose "water" as the new theme. Take your picture within the next month and post it in this thread. Good luck everyone.
Chris meant to say within the next 30 days. The months are funny things as they are tied to the moon. Let's say Jan. 19th at the time of his post at 9:39 PM. Chris: If you didn't mean to say that. Have a drink on me. I'm having one.
Water should be an interesting topic; I have a feeling we're going to get a lot of really nice shots. I will be entering this contest after a 3 month absence; getting a D3000 so shooting should be more enjoyable. Good luck everyone! -G.B.
Can't wait to see what is going to be posted. I'll probably sit out on this one, don't want to feel sad with 0 votes
I don't know if it fits into the theme... Waves, Huntington Beach, CA Image Unavailable, Please Login
Grr... I (today) deleted the pics I took for this round 'cause I thought the deadline was the 9th and I was late. Guess I get another shot.
I was wanting to do a 'cliche' blurred water shot, but doesn't look like I'll be able to find the time. Here's my entry, from Cozumel last week. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Actually about 2.5 hours west of Washington, DC. Floor to ceiling in that part of the cave is about 2' (which helped, actually, since the shot was taken without a flash or tripod)
Glad to finally see some pics. Hopefully if our ice ever goes away here in Reno, I can manage to get some shots... -G.B.
Oh wow, it looks massive. I was thinking Grand Cenote (http://api.ning.com/files/gR31GjJqn905RM9pPsNxXunVkf8pv3snS-B9fb*wlbz-PBKRNQzZqpJfcj4G3iAWXkk75Nd-jtSjxzbRdlsXT14kF1Z7lvfw/392682899.jpeg). What are the two light sources on the right?
There are bigger bits of this particular cave including a few massive formations. The lights you see off to the right are there to illuminate the pathway through the cavern. I've got some similar shots from Thailand a while back where the only illumination is a kerosene lantern!
There's a little water in this one, too -- but mostly just a reply to blackwood These are the 'big pillars' (~ 20' tall) Image Unavailable, Please Login
