    Hi All,
I drove my 308 to the car show 5 miles away yesterday. On the way there it bucked under acceleration for the first time in the 4 years since I've owned it. I continued to the car show anyway. After the show, it started but I had no power, it wouldn't even rev up. The least bit of pressure on the gas pedal stalled the car. I was able to limp it out to the parking lot where I got a flat bed to bring me home.
It starts, all banks are firing, but can't put a load on it. I'm thinking fuel filters (but could both have gone bad) or the fuel pump has weakened.
    I haven't begun troubleshooting yet.
    I welcome any advice.
    Cheers

If you unplug the fuel pump, does it still work (you'll hear it) after you start the car?

clogged/dead fuel injectors would be one thing to check. What you describe was very similar to what I experienced with my Esprit once. It would run (just barley), no revs, no power. Injectors are not that easy to check/pull on a 308 so start with some easier stuff like fuel filter, pump or check fuel pressure.

Update: I just tried to start it and it fired right up and sounds fine!! Revs without issue.
I haven't gone on the road yet. Still weary. Maybe a short ride up my rode and back later today.
Maybe a vapor lock or still the fuel pump.
    The filters should be fine.

I had a similar experience and it was a faulty fuel pump. Started fine but as soon as any throttle applied it died.

I had this on a Porsche once. It was a rubber hose on my air intake that would pinch itself when the engine was under load. Of course no load and it looked normal. Took awhile to figure that one out.

That would have been my guess. Water in the tank.

Had the same with the 400 - put a tank of E10 through it to suck up the water

Simple fix. Stop going to car shows and just drive it more. How often are you driving it?

I had a similar problem with my 81, ended up pinning the problem down to poor fuse connection with the old ceramic fuses, getting hot with a high resistance. Upgraded to Birdmans fuse panels and no more problem. Might be worth checking the fuses for heat if you've still got the old ceramic fuses
