    Hey guys and gals,
I've had my 308 for just over a year and a half. I purchased it in a running, but terrible condition. Over the last year I've (very very slowly) done belts, gaskets, fixed tons of rust, etc. I finally put the car together today after being apart for about a year and got it running. However, it runs terribly. All cylinders spark and wires are correct. I have an absurd amount of fuel in the boot, bottom of the CIS, and behind the butterfly. Any idea on what could cause that? I'm stumped. I removed the CIS but didn't touch much of the fuel system. I will add photos shortly.

If this means that you have liquid fuel in the bottom of the airflow metering unit (the chamber with the moving airflow metering flap that has the fuel distributor mounted on top) = not a good sign for the fuel distributor -- like the o-ring(s) on the Plunger are leaking. Is this a case of resurrecting a 308i-2V after a long period of disuse/neglect?

Sorta. This vehicle Sat outside and wasn't driven by the prior owner. The story I received was it Sat for 10 or more years under a tarp. I have receipts for timing and CIS work in 2016. After further investigation, the leak is coming down from the plenum. I believe a stuck injector because I have two injectors whistling loudly. New set ordered. Car runs great other than fuel smoke in exhaust and oil leaking under the rear bank somewhere.

Fuel distributor, leaking injectors or a stuck open cold start injector are common causes for that.

Given the history, if it was me I'd sent the distributor, and warm up regulator to Larry Fletcher anyway, and buy a new set of injector nozzles. Then see where you are.
