Hey Guys, I need help with bypassing the fuel pump relay. I printed a picture showing the new relay bypass from a previous Mondial question and answer
    thread.
Can someone tell me which wires go to the new relay wire socket.
The red wire goes to the power source
    The black wire is ground
The two brown wires go to which wires on the relay socket.
Are there any other wires that I need to bypass from the original connector?
I pulled the relay and made a jumper between number 30(power) and 87 on the fuse board. The fuel pump came on and I was able to start the car.
What amp fuse should I use with the new bypass relay?

    thanks
    Charles

If it is FI, the owners manual calls for a 15 Amp fuse

I am a bit unclear on what you are trying to do and why, so do not know what to say.

 bypassing the shunt coil, wires 85/86 now means that your fuel pump will run all the time and not switch off when you turn your ignition off, by doing this bypass you run the risk of burning out your fuel pump and worst if you are involved in an accidient your fuel pump will pump your fuel tank dry if you rupture a fuel line, thats the last thing you want if you are trapped in your seat.

Unless your faulty relay had a inbuilt fuse I wouldn't bother, there is already a fuse in the circuit.

I would remove only use this bypass incase of any emergency, not sure if you have done the same? You can always use another relay to get your fuel pump going safely like either a headlight relay, thermofan relay or even your air-con relay. Do yourself a favour and by a new relay and refit it ;)

OK, let me re ask the question.

I am not getting any voltage to my fuel pump.
My starter works fine which is relay number I
Relay T is a good relay, the socket has a problem. From the relay socket pin number 87 to pin number 7 on W connector there is no voltage. Which tells me there is a short on the printed circuit board from relay pin 87 to Connector W-7.
I printed the photo from "Mondial 8 Fuel Pump Relay Rewiring" it shows the bypass. The wires lead from the relay socket to the removed relay. The wires are taped up going to the relay. I need to know which wire goes to which relay pin. My guess is I connect a female connector from the removed relay to a male spade connector to the relay socket(30 to 30, 85 to 85, 86 to 86) except relay pin number 87.
I cut the fuel pump wire going to W-7 and wire it to relay pin number 87.

The reason I used a jumper from 30 to 87 was to make sure the fuel pump was good. I pulled the jumper.
    Thanks Guys
    Charles

do you have the wiring diagram? if not PM me and I can E-mail you a copy. the PO externally wired the pump as well on my M8. now it primes before the starter kicks in.
