My GTS spec is locking down very soon and I’m looking for advice from current owners on which material headlining they have went for. Current spec is leather upper dash and alcantara lower. My dealer is recommending alcantara headlining but I thought that leather would offer a seamless transition from the leather upper dash. Can anyone share any opinions or better yet pictures? For reference here’s my proposed interior shot with standard headlining. Thanks in advance. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I’m pretty sure if you spec the head liner, it will include the A pillars too. But the configurator might not show it.
I have Alcantara headlining including A pillars on my 812 and think it is essential. Leather is also nice, just down to the individual but I much prefer Alcantara headlining. Don't care much for the standard fabric and would not buy an 812 with it.
Why? Alcantara is terrible for a headliner … it’s used for weight reduction but that concept is silly here I prefer leather as it easily to keep clean and hair doesn’t stick to it anyway just one opinion Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
My 812 gts was spec’d and locked super early (some options weren’t in the system yet) and the roof was a huge miss on our end. I have standard fabric roof and wool carpets. I would have much preferred alcantara on both. I did this on my Roma and I love it! As a little worried how it would hold up but have had the Roma for almost a year and half and with 8k miles on it the floors and mats look new. The sabía has been a little work with my wife’s blue jeans but all manageable. Long and short of it…I highly recommend it.
Is that 8500 upper part in leather? Went leather I believe. PF Africa to go with the rest… Either works. For sport Alcantara is a great look. Have it in my 812 SF now. For the GTS wanted a more refined GT feel. That said the leather may fatigue and Alcantara may stick better in the long run. In the real long run, it wont be my issue. What works with your spec in feeling? We all agree standard material is a no.
I don't think it will matter, these cars will mostly be driven in nice weather with the top down. The headliner is the last thing I am thinking about.
