I have a GTS on order and am seriously debating whether I want another modern Ferrari all be it convertible. I love the 812 coupe that I have pre GPF filter. The SF90 nor Roma interest me. Anyone own a fleet of modern cars and the old vintage one thrown in. I reckon the 330 GTC would be on a par to slightly cheaper than the GTS, would it be more fun to drive? Less power, more engaging or am i being sentimental?

I have no doubts, I like cars for what I feel driving fast . I like to own only modern cars giving me best feeling . They already have too many problems imho. Historical cars I like to see them not to own them or drive them . My brother in law is in love with old cars he owns some of them they never work . Driving a little and back to fix problems . Not for me

I personally don’t know classic cars. I do have lots of friends into them. I see 3 happy results with classic.

    1. Growing up with that era. Buying those classic are like owning a piece of memory for the owners.
    2. Actually love classic cars and love working on it.
    3. Have enough of modern cars, want some classic to blend in.

I also see 2 sad results as well, unfortunately:
    1. Modern cars hitting them hard with depreciation and feel sad about it, however, don’t wanna stop the “fun” so go for a classic thought it would keep value better but deep down he just simply want something different.
    2. Get a classic because others saying it’s good but doesn’t have the actual connection to it. All info gathered from forums and trying convinced themselves they actually know it and love it.

IMO, if you are not sure about a classic, don’t do it. If you need to ask general question about purchasing it, probably not for you. Similar situation like choosing between manual and auto box debate. If you are debating about which one, get the auto.

You are not crazy at all. Its just a different experience all around. Classic cars are wonderful because you are so much more involved with the process.

But, they are not as reliable, and you won't be streaming Spotify and telling Siri to text your friend via CarPlay.

Having a classic car in the mix could be a wonderful thing if you enjoy the benefits of classic cars. The classic Ferraris are some of the most engaging and endearing driving experiences you could ever have. Btw, the classic Ferraris may not be as fast as an 812, but, you will be shocked at how fast they will go from ~30-90 MPH. Easily outpacing most modern vehicles. Imagine what these things were like 40-50 years ago! And a 330 GTC is a great place to start in my humble opinion. I would ask in the Vintage section, perhaps you have already?

I had a perfect 330 GTC and it is one of my favorite Ferraris. Fantastic car, feels much more modern than a 250 Lusso which is what I had before, very good handling and decent power. It was also reasonably reliable for such an old car.

Personally I think every Ferrari collection has to have an old V12 and the GTC is great value

Yes asked the same question in the vintage section.
I do have 3 classics, just not a Ferrari yet, so I am used to the smell of fuel, who doesn’t love that? I am slightly younger than the gtc but I do think it is a beautiful looking car and starting to look decent value.

I saw your incredible collection in another thread. I am entirely certain you would love it. It is truly a unique experience. One thing that you will really appreciate with the Ferraris of this era is the fact that everything you see, hear, touch/feel, smell, (and taste?!), is purely honest, it is what it is, its not because clients wanted it like this, or anything like that. You can almost feel the oil on your fingers (of course you don't want to!) but you will feel it. The experience is sublime.
