I recently visited a local 2nd hand supercar dealer in my area. When I walked in I saw an 812 GTS on their floor which they acquired from out of state. The car is not advertised for sale. I am curious, anyone know if there is any risk in buying a 2nd Ferrari if that car was purchased from a seller where the seller was in breach of their sales contract with the franchise dealer they bought the car from? I do not know if that is the case here or not, but I am scratching my head as to how a 2nd hand shop can get their hands on a low mileage car and be able to sell it with no issues.
I will be spec’ing my 812 GTS tomorrow AM and putting a deposit down. I fortunately have been able to secure an allocation.
Took my SF for a service 2 weeks ago and was told I may be able to get an order in for a GTS. Collected the car last week and had the order confirmed! I’m UK based. They indicated end of Q1 early Q2 2022 for delivery which I was surprised at. Time to start thinking about spec, although I’m definitely going for Rosso Maranello like my current SF as it’s the most stunning colour ever! (IMO) Covered almost 10,000 miles in my SF so far, and depreciation just £5k, current residuals so strong. Definitely benefitted from buying a 1 year old example early last year.
As far as I heard, order books have officially closed for 812 GTS. Curious how many will be be sold/produced in total. I am guessing around 3’000 - 3’500 units. Sort of 488 Pista coupe volume... Anyone have inputs? @Marcel Massini ?
My guess is 5000 units because of GTS production time (longer than 812SF) and production stop of GTC4 Lusso Sent from my SM-F711B using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I am guessing closer to the 3k to 3500. While it my go longer and the v12 line is busy, my dealer said the allocations and deliveries have been super slow and low volume. But just a guess
So something like 10,000 SF+GTS produced based on Marcel and the longer GTS production. That's a lot of 812's. Then add the C and CA. Not sure how many of those.
A previous thread had something like 4700 based on V12 production throughout the years of F12 production if I remember correctly but not sure. Someone posted a table with the numbers. Reasonable to think Marcel has a better number.
Thanks…now that you mention it I do recall seeing a table. Given those numbers I am surprised the 812 would be 2x even though it’s a coupe and drop top but there are many of you with better insight and my estimate is a guess.
2500-3K 812 GTS delays in manufacturing & shortages in materials result in slow, prolonged production cycle not increased numbers.
In full calendar year 2021 worldwide sales of Ferrari sports cars increased by 22.3% to a new record 11155 Ferraris delivered globally. In 2020 Ferrari sold 9119 cars worldwide, while the previous volume record was in 2019 when 10131 Ferraris were delivered in total. Ferrari claimed to not have been much affected by the global shortage in semiconductors and expects positive growth in 2022 due to higher demand and a richer model mix.
Of note: The 812SF (coupe), not many in USA, fewer than 1200 (per rear window recall notice that included all production except, maybe, for the last few cars made for USA)
True and my dealer is getting plenty of f8’s, Roma’s and (was) Porto’s but much lower in SF and even lower on GTS’s. It will be interesting. Wide range of estimates here.
As stated in another post, my US dealer has 50 orders for the GTS all confirmed (Ferrari has approved them but waiting on allocations). They have been slow to arrive. For sake of argument assume average orders for US dealers is 40 and there are 40 dealers, the US alone is 1600 to be produced over the next 18 to 24 months. US market for V12 assume is 25%. Global total could be 6,400 to be built for the GTS. Even though Ferrari stated they have a record order book, do you think they will build all the GTS orders? I have an order in and if they build it great, if not oh well it’s just a car versus your health etc…. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
