I honestly think many of these predictions won’t come true, or will take much longer than many expect. Self-driving tech is nowhere near ready for prime time. Many wealthy individuals (with significant political and financial resources) will want to preserve their right to drive beautiful cars on the roads. Fossil fuels will be around and essential for decades. My 21 yo son loves Ferraris, and mechanical watches. Not every young person wants a smart watch, although I’ll admit that many do. Hopefully, they’ll be room for both old and new for many decades. The world will be a better place if we preserve options. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Best Ferrari design since the end with Pininfarina. I love that they are moving away from the row of LED's with the headlights, which I never thought looked right.
Quite amusing that this is being referred to in multiple publications as a 'stripped-out speedster'. As has been pointed out, the official figures quoted by Ferrari state that the SP2 is just 5kg lighter than a standard 812 Superfast - or call it 2kg lighter once you factor in the driver and passenger's helmets. Perhaps the official numbers are wrong. And surely the centre console should have some semblance of style, regardless of how functional it is? Price is being quoted '£1m+', '£2.3m' and 'upwards of £3m' depending on which (obviously well-researched...) articles you read. Another source who is allegedly more in-the-loop says it is/was around the £1.6m mark. Again, depending on which titles you read, they've either sold them all, or they've got a few left, and they're either making 200 cars, or closer to 500. -Ed
I'm sure it only represents a small % but based on Instagram I am once again mystified about why Ferrari are allocating these cars to people who clearly devalue the brand when surely they dont need to I feel almost certain that we will see an early Monza car wrapped in some garish chrome color doing doughnuts in front of the cameras before no doubt being crashed into a rock because the owner cant drive
It's almost hard to believe this car is real...I can't even begin to imagine what the feeling is like driving it down the road...
I do not like convertibles at all - much prefer targa tops and sunroofs - but an open single seater that you're meant to wear a helmet with is a whole other animal. I never heard any of the pre-launch chatter about this car, BTW. The reveal came as a complete shock to me.
Would be pretty special if Ferrari offer an SP1 to SP2 (and vice versa) option. Start with an SP2 (share the love) then convert to an SP1 once you feel like being alone
Still not feeling it. Design does nothing for me. Interior dash is pretty ordinary. Not a step up in performance vs the 812. More expensive than a LaF?! Really? Yet all sold. Aside from the obvious investor potential, what is the point of this car?
indeed....all Ferrari has to do is provide the cowling to hide the second cockpit when one wants to go solo.

And never had any rocks or pits in your windshield! I thought this was not strictly street able? More like a track toy. They are beautiful in heir own way. But more a sot to their base than something useable. Another piece of kinetic art. Something smaller with a real windshield and fully drive able in the backroads and the city and even the track. Too much to ask? Perhaps. SV Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I like this concept and design. Its simple and elegant, unlike most of recent modern Ferraris. I would buy one if I were lucky enough. But I would fabricate a small windshield for it. I couldn't imagine driving without a windshield at highway speeds. It would stop being enjoyable in a matter of a few minutes I imagine.
Garretto what do you think the other deeper red is that appears on the SP1 in the "him" and "her" clothing picture? That deep red is perfect. Much more 'pure' than Rosso Fuoco for example. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think they’re viewing it as no one will drive the Monza without a helmet so no windscreen necessary.
