From Ferrari Corporate Capital Markets Day on September 17 and 18, 2018 dedicated to plans in place to meet the 2022 Mid-Term targets
Ha! That puffer fish analogy is hilarious! If you look at the side view of the 2015 Sbarro Miglia concept though ... it is not absurd to think that the upcoming speedster could be similar in a genaral way. And the rear view shows tail lights that could be from any recent Ferrari. Although awkwardly styled from the front, the Sbarro concept does show what a modern version of a classic Mille Miglia racer could be like. A Ferrari take on this idea styled be Manzoni and with 812 running gear would be astonishing and highly desirable. I can’t think of a better send off to the unassisted Ferrari V-12 ... the best engine there has ever been and now the best there will ever be.
Could be Ferrari Design created the 812 Monza starting with the F12TRS. That car was incredible. Think of it without a windshield
The yellow car is just a recent looking custom - nothing special at all and certainly nothing to do with a Ferrari. The TRS/812 with no glass Photoshop is uninspiring with respect to the Monza. The Sbarro is just plain ugly and kit-car like resembling the fish image. Ferrari has a different responsibility for this tribute car. The car it needs to beckon using an F12/812 chassis is as follows: Image Unavailable, Please Login
I am getting an increasing sense that this limited edition speedster variant is going to drop jaws onto the floor. It seems like this is going to be much more retro inspired than the F12 TRS ... and far more radical than the F60 America. Some have suggested it will have pontoon fender styling elements ala the original 250 Testa Rossa and will be more extreme than anything that has left the factory in the last 50 years. I will take mine with side exhaust pipes and glass engine cover to display the last pure Ferrari V-12 in all its glory please!
I know these are a little off topic but, do you think there is a chance that Ferrari will mention the Successor of LaFerrari during Capital Markets Day?
I think this model is hugely significant as IMHO it is the first of the new era LE's. We have been used to V8 Special Series Aperta and V12 VS being numbered LE's but I don't think they will be any more. Runs of 200/300 specially designed LEs for which Ferrari charges "market" price will,I think, become the norm.
As has been hinted by others there are several interesting Ferrari 'projects' presently in the pipeline...
There have been a few mules as seen here and elsewhere but they give away very little so the real details are still elusive...
I think its good. Let them present it as they intend. We will see it eventually and congratulations to the lucky future owners of this car. I am expecting it to be stunning.
I think you’re right in the sense of perhaps variations in LE production numbers, speciality, and availability. This “Monza” will produce approximately 200 cars is what I’ve heard. It will be interesting if it continues like this number more consistently or if it will simply variate depending on what the LE is. This is cool too. I think it is simply marketing name. I don’t think this changes the design philosophy of Ferrari to always look forward with respect to the past.
Yes, definitely not road legal in USA. Not sure of # of cars but extremely limited and assume all sold.
