Thanks do you happen to have the complete option list with pricing? I have the complete option list for the US but it does not have the pricing.

 

The German base Price is 244865 EUR without VAT, 291.390 EUR incl. VAT.

 

In the US we have to pay a state tax and license registration fees. Dealer also charges a prep fee and delivery fee

I’m not sure if the quoted price of 340 USD includes any of these.

Hopefully it does includes gas guzzler fee

 

The disparity with US vs UK pricing is not currently confined to Ferrari. Most German made vehicles also appear to be cheaper in the UK.

Much of it is to do with the current exchange rate situation post Brexit which is currently floating around USD1:30 to GBP1.00 when the longer term average is realistically somewhere closer to USD 1:50 - 1:60 to GBP 1:00. (the Euro is also currently unusually strong vs the GBP creating the same anomaly across EU pricing).

If UK prices were adjusted accordingly then people simply wouldn't pay the prices here in the UK, or the volume would drop appreciably.

This is sustainable by the fact that the UK is RHD and the manufacturers can ring fence UK sales to the UK market only therefore making it difficult for overseas buyers in LHD drive markets placing orders here and enjoying the exchange rate benefits.

The manufacturers are therefore currently subsidising GBP sales on the asumption that once the UK has left Europe the rates will stabilise closer to long term averages, or alternatively they've (historically) hedged the exchange rate far enough in the future to cover what is needed.

 

I checked with FNA and the US pricing is still not out and was also confirmed by my dealer. We will have to wait and see what Ferrari decides to price the 812 in the US.

 

What is the base list price in the USA?

The relative strength of the US dollar has fluctuated quite a bit

Brexit initially weakened both the British pound and the Euro.

More recently the dollar has weakened against both currencies.

Of course, the relative
strength of the Euro vs the US dollar will factor into the final determination of US pricing.

What's with the secrecy? It's just a list of prices after all. I posted the full UK list I received in a recent thread, and no one has come knocking on my door around midnight....(yet)
