The 812 handles like car a foot shorter but not lighter. Brilliant for its size and near luxury comfort level. If you choose the GTS get the full electric seats- the seat heater is worth it on cold days with the top down and don’t really notice the extra weight- it is a street car- not meant for the track although it will do it without complaint.

The 812 does surprisingly well on a track. I have tracked it back to back with both a Pista and F8. You'll feel the weight and size in the corners but it's true that it feels smaller than it is; and on the straights it's a monster. But on twisty mountain roads it has a more difficult time compared to a lighter, smaller rear-mid engine car. It's difficult to shift all that weight around in tight corners and fast switchbacks and less weight in the rear means your scooting out the rear end more when trying to get power down.

In fact, you'll find that when you remove the camouflage, the car appears much more compact !

Not sure I agree on the seats - had CF sports seats in the 812 and the 812 GTS and have been super happy with them. Probably as I have quite bad lower back pain and the CF seats seem to support the lower back better.

Yeah, if you look carefully at all of the latest pics there is a lot of paddding, especially the roof and rear.

Comparing, from the side view, the F167 still in disguise, and the 812 Superfast, it is noticeable how the space between the beginning of the door and the front wheel is shorter on the F167.
Furthermore, it seems that the rear axle is a little more advanced in the F167, almost close to the door and the B column, getting even closer to the front axle.
The overall length and wheelbase are noticeably shorter on the F167.
It also appears that the hood of the F167 will be lower than the 812.

Agree, I find the CF sports seats way more comfortable than the regular seats - especially notice this on long journeys.

Is it just me or the rear windows are most likely to be similar to that of the 550/575m? The front looks nice in camo, I hope they didn't botch its face when they reveal the f167 next year

Thanks for that. Your 812 seems to be on the heavy side.

Not to mention braking hard before a corner..... that to me is the biggest downside of the 812. It feels lighter when gaining speed and through corners, but brake hard before a corner and you'll scare yourself easy. I had several "OMG" not so pleasant moments when I drove the GTS on track....

Looking at it critically- and assuming the cars are to identical scale in the photos (probably not)the front overhang is the same, windshield is set back a few mm, rear overhang is greater as the rear wheels are more forward. Not happy about more over hang front or back
So wheelbase is smaller- probably indicating the car is also a bit narrower(good as the 812 is plenty wide) to keep the ideal wheel placement as square as possible and perhaps the overall car is a bit shorter (also good- maybe better handling and less weight)

Wasn't it so that windscreen should be moved 4 cm towards the front axle? If so, then pictures don't quite match.

Looking at the F167 pic, it appears to be taken near the rear of the car. This is visible e.g. inside the cockpit and particularly in the front brake disc. This may cause windscreen to stop earlier than it should. The other reason could be that bonnet still has a thick layer of camouflage.

Not to mention the gasoline consumption, which is immense. I went through a half tank of gas on about 30 miles of mountain roads. Not kidding. I got to the end of the drive and had an oh **** moment when I realized I was close to empty.

Scale was done via the rims. The F167 has a lot of padding so the question is. Is it the full final body below if not that changes a lot but... the wheel base is different as is the windshield and roof. I think its going to be smaller all around, But not by a lot though.

There is a lot of factors that are still guess work with so much padding and not knowing if the final front and rear are on under all that padding.
