Its covered in padding a lot in some areas we also do not know if the final front and rear are attached so like anything it this point its guess work
Yes. I think you did pretty much perfect job with the scaling. The unexpected windscreen location is probably explained by the somewhat rear biased camera angle.
You also cant see where the front windshield starts as all the bonnet is covered and lots of padding as is the door lines. Facts are wheel base look different and the windshield is different time will tell if a little or a lot. But its easy to see that the windshield is less to the front wheel.
Thanks, The windshield and roof are massive padded as you can see in my Post #4806 photo. Ferrari are doing a great move on keeping us guessing here.
Me and my son did a 1300 mile round trip to the LeMans Classic last June in our 812SF. Fantastic trip until I had this bright idea of calculating our fuel use throughout the trip. The figures were depressing, to say the least !
+1 4re4ever did an excellent job of scaling and comparing. This kind of effort is very welcome in this thread. 100% accuracy is not possible because the angle, although very similar, changes a little between the F167 and 812 images, and because the F167 still has a certain amount of coverage. I think there is a possibility that the F167 will be presented at the Finali Mondiali this month. The prototypes with the final bodywork, covered, have been running a lot in recent days. The F12 prototype, for example, was fully running with the jacket in mid-February 2012, and was officially presented at the end of the same month.
So are you saying the F167 the new car Ferrari is presenting or are you saying the replacement for the 812 will be shown at the Ferrari Mondial??? As far as I am aware the 812 replacement is still quite some time away. May the Horse be with you
Just my guess. Apparently there will be a launch at Finali Mondiali, the "fourth model" scheduled for 2023. I believe it could be the F167.
Ok. So they are going to launch a new model there which will not the 812 Replacement. May the Horse be with you
Might want to compare it to a Roma chassis to see if this still a mule or perhaps is based on an extended Roma… SV
Yes, much padding of A-pillars and roof may be to hide flush-mounted windshield and canopy style roofs hinted at by @day355. Highly doubt they would go to this much trouble to hide a Roma mule. Besides, exposed part of the B-pillar doesn’t look like a Roma.
OK I think I figured out the fighter plane element and the why it will look so cool under way from the rear … the entire center section of the rear … where the hatch is … is glass … including the vertical hatch lift section. The glass turns 90 degrees and forms a rear glass canopy like a fighter jet cockpit but in reverse !
That’s great. So let’s get things clear. This car going around is not the F167. I wonder when we will see the F167 mules going around. May the Horse be with you
The car going around is the F167 mule / prototype with camo. The launch is June next year but some believe it maybe shown at Ferrari Mondial shortly
You are kidding, right? I’m having a difficult time imaging that. At least imaging it being executed well. I can imagine it being awful! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
1 gallon per lap at COTA at speed- 3 mpg. Consumables are a joke at speed- 1 set of new brake pads and tires per weekend. (IIRC the GT3RS was 9 mpg.) Drive at the typical Ferrari parade lap pace and you can get a couple-three weekends out of pads; not RS wear but at least you’re bank account is taking a dump every time you go on track……… My second Gen Vanquish gets much better mileage on the road, but it’s also an 8 sp and my daily, so it gets driven like a GT not a sports car. No I’m not kidding. Full glass rear hatch including the vertical lift gate part where they mount the chrome prancing horse. I also believe it will have an option to be dimmable like the panoramic roof in the Purosangue. I do not think that the center section of the rear spoiler will be glass, I think that there will be a piece of bodywork that continues across the glass … but it is not impossible that the center section of the rear spoiler is engineered glass either…
