Let's not get carried away with where the red starts on the tacho yet. We all remember the difference between redline, claimed max rpm, and actual max rpm on the 812...

 

If we put this F167 mule in a giant X-ray machine we could be in for a big surprise. Imagine that we discovered that Ferrari was making fun of us and what this mule was hiding was a Daytona from 56 years ago.

Yes it is a legitimate choice and appropriate

 

Amalfi has a strong connotation of beach resort I highly doubt they'll choose that name just my own opinion

 

Amalfi sounds better than miami so that is a good starting point

For this reason, perhaps the name Amalfi is not as out of place on the F167 as it might seem at first glance.

 

well, I think Amalfi is the perfect name to continue the new Dolcevita plan…

I agree, though, maybe I am being just a little bit old school, I'd like to see a stronger connection to racing for the V12.

 

If you call it Amalfi you won't present it in USA, just my humble opinion.

Ferrari just launched the very first teaser on Instagram: “FROM MARANELLO TO MIAMI - JOIN US”

I think the name will be “xxx Miami” and “xxx Miami Aperta”

Just asking. What might this be in that teaser? Active suspension power? 48v system?

 

I'll still bet against Miami. Wouldn't be my pick either.

But...what's in a name? I'm just excited to see - and hear - the car!
