    Hi All

    First post!

I am looking at getting in to an 812SF and wanted to ask a few basic questions if I may.
    1. Are there any spec must have or must nots?
    2. My assumption is to purchase via a Ferrari dealership but is this necessary (more for warranty - understand the 7 year service pack can transfer over).
    3. Anyone recommendations for good authorised dealerships or independent sales?
    4. Is security as much of an issue as I've read lately.

    Thank you

Welcome - most 812 issues are covered in the 812 section - start there

There won't be many cars to choose from in the colour / spec etc you fancy so find a car you like then decide if its a dealer and/or deal you can accept

You might to consider the sense in leaving the car on the street outside your house in central london beyond that its a function of where and how you and your car live

    For me:-
Front lifter, carbon dash and steering wheel with led lights, check out the seat to see which you like best for comfort, Michelin tyres, buy from Ferrari dealer to get the 2 year power warrantee, they will also fix most faults if it has some, colours are down to you, HI Fi is better than standard but not amazing, Carbon outside is nice, full PPF is a must or factor that in.

    We all like different things.
If you are concerned about resale I am told that sports seats and tdf wheels are popular and that cars with those options sell quicker.
Definitely go Michelin PS4S rather than Pirelli.Transforms the car on UK roads.

    Hi,
I looked for nearly 8-9 months to find the right 812SF. I would recommend Dick Lovett, they are not cheap but stand behind their cars. I have bought 4 Ferrari's from them. My 812SF did not go on they website, I bought it the day they took delivery as they knew I was looking for the right car.
I also missed one before as it also sold same day.

I have the diamond stitch comfort, electric seats. If you go with race seats a lifter is essential and it cannot be retrofitted. No lift on the passenger seat so if you have short passengers will not be able to see out.

Hello, I'm new here and based in the London area. Similarly, I'm interested in purchasing my first Ferrari, an 812SF. May I ask what was the last year that UK 812SF's were manufactured without GPF filters? Am I right that it was 2019? Anything from 2020 onwards would have a GPF fitted and thus a more muffled sound? Thanks.

I would ask the dealer you buy from to be sure, I am not sure if there is an exact cut-off date.

More of a problem might be, if you don't have a garage in London to keep it on trickle charge, not unless you use it every day.
The batteries are not great! [ under-statement]

Good advice, I will check with the dealer to be sure. I definitely do not want a GPF. I keep my current car in Windrush, so they'll take good car of the 812SF, but thanks for the heads up on the battery regardless.

Threads in the 812 section suggest your idea of an absolute cut-off of 31-12-2019 (or in fact any other date) to not be realistic (Ferrari have long tended to change components at a random date typically when supplies of the previous spec run out) but that the engine spec quoted in modis tends to show gpf as part of the description
