Plenty of reasons: Weight, structural rigidity, safety and the fact that some people dislike motoring sans roof, not to mention any aesthetic reasons.
Really like the look of this. As probably the last normally aspirated v12 convertible I’m sure it will be all sold. But as to the launch colours; not good in my opinion. The silver is dull and red just doesn’t work. Now put that in a blue and or triple layer red,Rosso monza then it would look stunning! And ditch the pooh coloured interior; sorry!
Image Unavailable, Please Login A little strange how they show the tach as this in the video. Not that I really care about 100rpm to be honest.
812 GTS looks amazing - the name lends to a regular production car I was expecting a specially unique name to imply limit run of production Plus there's very little chat activity compared to launch of other new Ferrari's
I like it. I recently received my 812SF and the sound is so muffled compared to my 458 Spider. I imagine the open top V12 is just the thing dreams are made of.
With the sail panels/wings behind the headrests this is becoming almost a targa top vehicle. Which is an extension of the 308GTS. So, it's coming back around.
Well to be fair, the DBS is a 2+2 which allows for an elongated roof line that, yes, does look more elegant on the DBS, but the 812 being only a 2 seater, it is more complex. I do think the Targa look was the best solution in this case, and I think it looks great on this car.
Love it. The fact that it's basically a targa makes me want it more as I never loved the look of convertibles but always loved the targa look. Wish I could afford one.
Exactly the same tacho as the Superfast. The needle can easily show 9000 and the actual engine speed can be 8900; tachos, like all instruments, are not that precise anyway. Does it make any difference? Let's round it up to 9k...
