Went to the unveil last night at WW. Man this car looks so good in person. As a Lusso owner the 812 has the same poor photogenic issues. The 812 lines look fantastic in person, much less severe than in pictures. The car was Giallo triplo strato and the paint was glorious. Car has such a presence in person, aggressive but still GT. The 275 fronts and 315 rears are massive and the rear view of the wide hips is so mean. Overall a fantastic car that needs to be seen in person to be appreciated. Interior is a step on with the accent striping really adding to the experience. The stock exhaust note is awesome, different than the F12, much more aggressive stock. Was not a fan of the stock seats, I speced buckets for mine. The launch wheels are not bad in person however I will be going with the more traditional version (not the TDF style).

Very true of most new Ferrari's. Do not photograph well, comparisons to Corvette and other models, etc. But to see these cars in the flesh is mesmerizing beyond belief. Everything comes together, no design flaws and unlike any manufacturer, your emotions are raised to 15 out of 10. The only thing that goes thru your mind leaving a dealership or viewing is "I have to get one!"!

I agree- 3D objects are best seen in person vs photographs. As car design has become ever more complex, this becomes even more important.

One thought on the wheels- given how crummy our roads are, I would recommend going with whatever wheels are forged. They are (or should be!) stronger and lighter. The cast wheels (at least in the past) are nice looking but over time might not show it, but slowly become out of round and that makes the car feel like the balance is off. This is an annoyance to me. It might not be for you, just giving you a little heads up. For me forged wheels are almost a must.

I totally agree. I live in Los Angeles and many of the roads, some might argue most of them, are in such poor shape that they are hazardous to your wheels.

Forged rims are definitely stronger not to mention lighter.

I had a 360 with the standard cast alloy rims and they bent.

I switched to forged for my Cali and 458 Spider and they stayed true, despite potholes which were severe enough to cause tire punctures in both cars, multiple times.

I just placed my 812 order and have opted for forged rims, again.
