    Just to confirm......

As I get close to spec, I have a question about the vintage leathers. I was interested in having distressed leather to resemble a saddle but was told by my guy that the vintage leather is designed to wear and fade. I've also read on here where some have passed on this type of leather specifically due to concerns of wear in daily drivers.

The car will be tracked, and often (I only live 60 miles from MSR Houston). Between that, open window tracking at COTA and the Texas heat in general (perspiration) I suspect wear will be an issue going that route.

    Is aniline better for wear?

Also, I've been told lifters are a must for racing seats- going with racing Daytonas. I currently drive my F12 (with regular Daytonas) with my seat in the lowest position even without a helmet. I tend to drive all of my "cars" with seats as low as possible and all my trucks/SUVs with high seats. Thanks. Frank

My understanding is that you are forced to get the lifter with racing Daytona’s. That’s my recollection. That brings the total cost to $13,330 for the racing Daytona’s which surely contributes to how seldom you see them in the wild. Here’s a pic of mine. I lowered the seat all the way and will likely never use the lifter again (I’m 6’6”). I have much more headroom than I did in my F12 with regular seats. I can’t help with the leather questions. I’ll leave those for someone that has expertise/knowledge in that area.
