    Gentlemen:
    Does anyone happen to have the correct Bosch part number for this alternator? Owners Manual says it is a A.120.421.251 (regulator 0.192.052.005). I need to have my alternator rebuild, and hoepfully, upgraded but I can't find a shop that can call up that part numer. Would like to make arrangements before removing the bloody thing from the car.

    I have never had trouble getting parts or rebuilds done. It may just have an odd part # due to mount locations etc but your rebuilder should not have trouble with internal pieces.

    Not to meddle but I've had great fortune with taking mine in cash and carry to the local alternator shop on the bad side of town...

    A cigar chomping guy rebuilt it, while talking about his drag Corvette and handed it back for $75.00.
