82 400i headers and NY area mechanic

We are in Long island. Right now we are fabricating a full batch of F355 exhaust manifolds, Sl63, M5, and Gallardo. You are more then welcome to come by to view our work. We also offer mechanical service.

If you insist on Stebro, just order directly, you may be able to get a better deal if you cut out the middleman. However, for headers, I strongly recommend that you buy used originals then have them cerma-coated - I did this on my original '65 Ferrari 330 headers. They will last longer than I will, are original and overall, much cheaper. If you insist on stainless, but are not married to Stebro, try Timevalve.

If you go used, a number of outfits are breaking up 400s, the headers shouldn't be too hard to find.

For mechanic, if he will see you, use Francois Sicard (he is in CT) - he is the best; contact Tom Yang via www.tomyang.net for an intro. If he will not see you, got to Bill Pollard of Sport Auto (also in CT). I bring my car to Francois and I live in NJ.

We can make an exact replica of your stock manifolds out of Stainless. With a ceramic coating it would be difficult to tell they are aftermarket.

I'll bite. I am replacing my 330's exhaust. Considering my NOS ANSA pipes died in about 8 years, I'm not doing that again. My headers and Y's are fine (as previously mentioned) but I will likely replace the rest. I'm planning on something with correct fit but a more aggressive sound (stock is a bit too refined for my taste).

If you have a spare exhaust, even damaged, we can use that to reverse engineer. If not, we will have to make it off of your vehicle.

Production process:
-Tooling produced
-Reverse engineer system
-CAD model drawn
-Tubing CNC bent
-Flanges machined
-Muffler produced
-All components welded in fixture
-Tips polished
-installation.

The full process can take anywhere between 2 to 4 weeks depending on your muffler setup. We can also provide before and after dyno runs to chart any gains in power. Y-pipe back can range from $3,000-$4,000 depending on how it is configured.

As a special note to anyone interested in general service: All labor is discounted 20% for August with free pickup and delivery to the Tri-state area.

 

I have new old stock left side headers available if you are interested.
