How does one disconnect this from the rear wheel hub? I don't see any brackets to unscrew, etc.

    Thanks

    This help any??

Bigger version, copy/paste into your browser:

It will enlarge to full size if you click on the expansion icon in the corner.

Looks like the cable-end is hooked onto the lever (#38) by tension when the adustments are done at the common mount (#22). Housing Stop (#25) is held into the hub by the same tension, should pull out one the Cable End is loose, doesn't show any threading.

Thanks Kurt. I got it out.........not too bad. I did the following:

    1) Loosen the emergency brake inside the car

    2) Removed the two brake lines, at the frame mount

    3) Removed the long bolt holding the upper A-arm, and loosend the nuts holding the lower A-arm. This allowed the axle hub to pivot downward to a horizontal position.......with cable still attached

    4) Removed plate beneath the center of the car, to expose the proximal end of the cable. Here I removed a cotter pin and moved the pivot pin (#18) upward, to get the cable wheel (#17) off. This loosened the cable.

    5) With the hub in the horizontal position, I used a screwdriver to pry the cap(#25) away from the hub. I was able to keep pushing it away until I exposed about 6 inches of the cable. This allowed me to see inside (hub horizontal) and disconnect the cable.

I plan on removing the hub, calipers and giving it a thourough inspection.
