Ferrari couldn't give these away in 1996 @ $189,500 MSRP. Ferrari Testarossa Red with Black Interior | eBay
$395K is pretty speculative for a car with zero historical significance. To me, the F512M isn't worth anything close to that. There are only 75 of them in the US, IIRC, however, so the seller doesn't have much competition and buyers have few options. But, a 328 at $80K is still a relative deal -- not compared to where it was three years ago, but it is about the same as a Boxster S or optioned up BMW 5. At least for me, the 308/328 still look pretty good compared to other classics or near-classics on my radar. (And I have checkbook ready to buy at the high end of the current range.) So, bubble? For some Ferraris probably. I don't think the 308/328 are bubbly yet. 246... yeah, probably has overshot its justifiable value. I wouldn't buy one at current prices. (Vintage Porsches probably the same -- love the cars, great to drive, but they are now damned expensive and there's probably not much upside left.)
Not sure if you're a member of FCA but on their classifieds there's an '83 red/tan Euro and an '85 Grigio Titanio/rosso, both GTS's. If you're interested I can post up the info. Do you know about the one at Big Red's? 1985 Ferrari 308 GTS ZFFUA13A4F0054047 41,217 Miles $45,000 http://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/613006986/overview/ -F Image Unavailable, Please Login
Also there's this one. No offense but watch those New Jersey dealers. (New York, New Jersey, Florida, etc.) -F 1985 308 GTS QV 29,321 miles VIN not listed $69,995 [email protected] 1985 Ferrari 308 GTS | Cars & Trucks For Sale | Southjersey | Shoppok Image Unavailable, Please Login

Thanks for posting these. The '83 is a Euro, so no-go in California. The '85 sounds very nice -- might need OEM-spec cats to be legal out here, but I will drop the owner a note. Terrific colors on that. The Big Red car has the California emissions decal on the windscreen, and has potential. It would need the seats properly redone, and the engine bay looks "tired", to put it charitably. If the goal is FCA platinum, it would take a thick pile of bills to get this one into range.
I've sent an e-mail to Regis - I'm interested in the 83. Even better if it already has a Texas title.
Good question... Mostly aesthetics and vintage feel. Also, a red 308 GTS QV was the first exotic car I ever saw, when they were new, back in high school, so one of those has always been on my automotive bucket list. Put it next to a Veyron or LaFerrari and I still want the 308.
Too bad they didn't make a transition car with a 328 body and the 308's mechanical interior. Good luck in your search...
Jon, Not sure what you feel about different colors but this red on red is interesting. -F 1985 Ferrari 308 GTS QV. Rosso Corsa over Red leather. Rare color combo. Only 15,550 documented miles.
